A beautiful Rainey day wedding……..but just a peek.

Jonathan and Cynthia…..known now as Mr. and Mrs. Rainey are such a great couple.  I’m sure some of you will remember them from their Engagement Session a few months ago. They are so much in love and so committed to each other and to God.  Of course Ali and I already knew that.  What was so amazing on the wedding day was the love and support shown by their friends and family.  What a GREAT group of people, and a great group of Christians.

When you see as many weddings as Ali and I do you begin to notice the little things about the day, the things that really make the day different and special from all the rest…..for this Rainey day it was the people involved that made it special….the outpouring of true emotion and love from everyone in the wedding.  The vows Jonathan and Cynthia wrote were beautiful, I nearly cried during Jonathan’s.  The minister’s sermon was truly inspired and from the heart and he obviously has a relationship with Jonathan and Cynthia.  The performances at the reception were amazing including a spoken word performance by one of the groomsmen that absolutely blew me away.   This group clearly loves each other….and with a support group like that and faith in God I just know Jonathan and Cynthia will be able to overcome whatever life throws at them.

This beautiful wedding day started at the Hotel 1000 downtown Seattle.  Then for a fun morning of pictures we went to the Olympic Sculpture Garden and then on to Pike Place Market before boarding an Argosy Cruise Ship for the wedding and reception.  It was an amazing day with an amazing group of people celebrating the start of a truly blessed marriage.

This is only a sneak peek….I will be putting up a slideshow of images as well but I wanted to show everyone a few of my very, very favorites right away.  Be sure and leave a comment, I love hearing what everyone thinks…….ENJOY!!

Wow! The pics are beautiful, and I’m sure that’s partly due to the fact that you were photographing a beautiful couple!

PHOTO OF THE WEEK!!

The photo of the week this week is an image of Krissy.  I photographed Krissy in Seattle with her fiance Joe for their Engagement Session last weekend.  I am choosing this image as photo of the week mostly because I’m a sucker for big beautiful eyes and a great smile.  Also, the light is amazing, the colors are bright and vibrant and I love the composition.  All in all I just want to keep looking at the image, and I think that is what makes a good photograph.  When I want to keep looking….it holds my interest.  I hope you like it as much as I do.  Let me know what you think…….ENJOY!!

More of Krissy and Joe

Joe + Krissy…..Engagement in Seattle

Enagement sessions are so much fun!!  I always really enjoy them.  They are relaxed and fun and such a great chance to get to know the couples we are working with.

I photographed Joe and Krissy in Seattle…first at Seattle Center and then we moved to the University of Washington campus.  When they first arrived to meet us Krissy’s first question was….”Do we look ok” and Joe said he was worried they dressed up too much.   All I have to say is WOW!!! They look great!!!  If you want ideas on how to dress take a look at these two because it doesn’t get much hotter than this!!  The entire session was a total blast!   We had so much fun.  Krissy and Joe are both so relaxed and up for whatever I wanted to do.  I LOVE THAT!!  Believe me I have plenty of ideas to go around.

Be sure to check out the images in the slideshow……I’m pretty sure you’re gonna like them!  I would love to hear what you think….

Jason and Olivia…..Engagement Session

WOW!!  I love these images!!  I hope you all do too.

I photographed Jason and Olivia on Whidbey Island….It has been a long time since I photographed an Engagement Session here on Whidbey, but Jason and Olivia wanted to make the drive up from Seattle to see our studio, and I am glad they did.  They even brought along Mom, and Mom’s sweet little dog Sassy.  We had so much fun!!

While they were here they decided to hire Ali and I to photograph their wedding in October 2010 at Stimson Green Mansion…what a beautiful location.  I told Ali I wish it was this October…..I can’t wait for the wedding, these guys are so much fun to photograph!  Olivia said they wanted us to photograph their wedding because “we get them”.  Well, I feel exactly the same about the two of them.  I love working with couples that “get” me and Ali, and what we do…..Jason and Olivia definitely get us.

Jason is a member of a local Seattle band, of which I am a new fan.  I can’t wait to see a show.  Jason says they just got out of the studio and will soon be releasing new music.  You can check them out at City in the Sea.

Todd and Stephanie’s Whidbey Island Wedding…..sneak peek!!

This is a wedding I photographed last weekend on Whidbey Island, where I am from.  I don’t often work locally, so it was nice to be so close to home.  What a great couple…truly dedicated and in love with each other and with God!!  I had so much fun at this wedding!  These two families were so awesome….what a great group of people!  I have no question in my mind that Todd and Stephanie are going to enjoy a long and happy marriage.   I bet they are having a blast on their three week honeymoon in Fiji and Australia….how cool is that!!

I love the images from this day!  I am just so pleased with the results.  It always helps when everyone is on time and the day is on schedule.  Everything went according to plan and pictures were fun and relaxed.  They had an amazing house right on the beach to use for pictures, and of course it doesn’t hurt that they are such a great looking couple….:-)

I just wanted to put up a few of my favorites from the day.  Let me know what you think….
